Plastic Surgery

Don´t you just hate it when that happens?  While dedusting your cupboards in spring, that nice little porcelaine figurine that you got from some distant relatif accidently gets tossed on the ground, gruesomely tearing the limbs apart from the body.

For the Repair project at Platform21 I thought of a solution for this problem, so one doesn`t have to go through all the explanation for REALLY not doing it on purpose, and so that the dull little figurine is actually transformed into a neat little cyborg.

The arms of Action Man is still moveable and fits: colorwise and from proportions!

With some old plastic horse, you can give the tea-pot-assembly a contemporary touch. (I was lucky enough to find the porcelaine`s horses head from a shattered Napoleon sculpture which you can see beneath)

I find that the dildo adds just the right amount of machismo and potency which the artist missed to express with this depiction of the French General.

Repairing all these antiques, I felt the urge to finally repair dignity of the Venus by implanting her some arms. Matching in size, I added the androgynous arms of Ken (Barbies arms are just to dull...). I think this pair suits her quite well though!
